What is somnio? Somnio is the first digital health application approved as an "app on prescription" specifically designed for patients with sleep disorders, particularly insomnia. It has undergone rigorous evaluation by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices, securing its status as a Digital Health Application (DiGA).

How can I access somnio? Somnio can be prescribed by any physician or psychotherapist equipped to issue health insurance prescriptions. Patients with a formal diagnosis of insomnia may also request access directly from their health insurance provider. To activate your account, a license code is necessary, which can be obtained from your health insurance company following the submission of the prescription or diagnosis confirmation. The application comes at no cost to users as it is covered by all statutory and some private health insurers. Detailed instructions for obtaining your access code are available at www.somn.io.

How does somnio function? Somnio utilizes effective treatment methodologies to facilitate improved sleep patterns. The German Sleep Society advocates for cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (KVT-I), which forms the backbone of somnio's content. Users can expect to engage with various resources, including:
